15 Jun Sustainable PBC Founders get COWBRA Award

On June 11, 2026, COWBRA (Coalition of Boynton West Residential Associations) gave its most prestigious honor — the Carrington Award given every five years — to Sustainable Palm Beach County. The award was given to Sustainable co-founders Karen Marcus and Lisa Interlandi at its recent meeting. More than 400 persons attended.

In presenting the award, Barbara Roth, described how the organization helps the COWBRA communities “promote smarter growth and protect the county’s natural resources and neighbor hoods. We thank Karen and Lisa and the Sustainable PBC board for its robust support for strategically managing growth in the County.”

Marcus says that “We are so honored and proud to be recognized in this way. COWBRA is a terrific partner for an organization like ours. When we founded Sustainable PBC in 2014, one of our goals was to partner with and support communities ensure that PBC’s future holds the best of what we cherish today.”
